Where to buy/sell?
Hey,
What is the major difference between the Buy/Sell section in this forum, and the GW Guru Auctions? It seems to be a lot more stuff here on forum, but the access and organization are FAR BETTER in auctions IMHO. So, do people go on both sides? Or only here on forum? Where should i buy/sell stuff? Thanks! |

The main difference is you can't get banned from Auctions because of some lame-ass excuse.
Buy and sell stuff wherever you feel comfortable most. I prefer Ventari's myself. Mostly because of the lulz provided. |

I did all of my selling through the auctions. Since I've never tried to sell stuff through Ventari's, I can't say how they compare. I liked the "fire and forget" aspect of the auctions.

Ventari you have to constantly bump and only can post in your thread every 24 hours. As well as only having 1 thread per section. Also most always post a bid when posting in someone elses thread.
With auction you have to complete a transaction within 10 days or it is void. I prefer auction because there is a lot less complexity to it in my opnion. Not that the rules in ventari are complex but every once in awhile if you haven't bumped an old post in a long time then make a new thread its simply because you forgot. Or you bump an hour or two early just cause your not thinking. Those both can result in bans even if it was unintentional. As well as they should because ventari is trying to be kept fair for everyone. I use both on a regular basis because I find it easier to sell some things in ventari then on auction and vice versa. I like what Quarker said...the fire and forget aspect of auction is nice. Also if you use auction remember always leave a comment for the persons reputation. Good or bad people want to know what kind of trader a person is. |

if you choose to use ventaris, be sure to read through the rules so you don't get infracted for accidentally doing something that isn't allowed

Its really about what you prefer. From my experience the auctions are less reliable in the way of players meeting up, but maybe its me being unlucky

And one of Ventari's GUIDELINES is that you cannot post the same item in both locations. So for each item you need to choose forum or auction.

Just bought stuff from Auction and Forum. Felt no difference since users are very active and fast traders. I think i ll stick with Auctioun though, search is more organized. Thanks all |

Auction is more efficient but the best buys are in forums since nobody bothers to fine-tooth comb the image threads (people don't bother to type, they just screenshot).
Also trying to sell stuff in auction >100K is a pain in the butt. |
